The Wednesday Table
The standing one. Six seats, a room in the market, and five people you haven't met. Come alone, that's the format.

Every dinner is 19:00, downtown, mid-week. Seats are limited to six a table — when a night fills, the next one opens.

Dates coming soonTwice the size, same idea. Three tables running at once in one room, so you meet your six and then everyone else's.

Yes, and so does everyone else. It's the one rule that matters. A pair at a table of six changes the whole dynamic — the other four end up talking to a unit instead of two people. If you want to bring a friend, book them onto a different night.
Five people chosen so that you have exactly one thing in common and differ on most of the rest. We tell you the shared interest in advance. We don't tell you who they are — you find that out when you sit down.
No. Tables are built for conversation, not chemistry, and we don't match on who you'd like to meet romantically. What people do after dessert is their business.
You pay for your own dinner. There's no membership and no cover. Venues are picked so a normal meal doesn't require a special occasion budget.
Every table gets one opening question sent out with the details — a real one, tied to the thing your table has in common. It's there so nobody has to fall back on asking what everyone does for work.
No. Tell us when you RSVP and you'll only be placed somewhere the kitchen can actually handle it. It's a hard rule, not a preference we weigh against other things.
You tell us how far you'll walk and we hold to it. Every venue is downtown and close to a subway stop.
Cancel on Luma as early as you can. A no-show leaves five people at a table set for six, so people who repeatedly don't turn up get placed last.
Pick a night, answer a few questions, and turn up on your own. That's the whole thing.
